Rationale.

We have agreed on these four ideas as a rationale for our project:
Will adults listen to our research?
Will our research make learning more interesting?
Will it make us better writers?
Will it make us clever and smarter?
Please read our comments for more individual points of view.

I think teachers will listen to our research and they might start to read out more poems to their classes.
It will make our learning more interesting because our teachers will read us more poems in our lessons.
It will make us better writers and clever and smart because we will work on poems in our classes.

I think adults will listen to our project because poetry is enjoyed by grown ups as well as children. Learning to write poems will improve our writing skills by encouraging the use of words which we don't normally use therefore making us smarter. Reading and learning poems is fun and enjoyable because they include words that rhyme and they tell all sort of stories including funny, sad, futuristic and historic.

ADULTS WILL LISTEN TO OUR PROGECT
BECAUSE THEY WILL BE INTRESTED IN THE THINGS THAT WE MAY SAY,SOME ADULTS LIKE POEMS THEMSELVES SO THEY MAY BE REALLY INTERESTED IN WHAT WE SAY ABOUT THEM.
IT WILL MAKE OUR LEARNING MORE INTERESTING BECAUSE WE WILL LEARN ABOUT THE THOUGHTS AND MEANINGS OF POEMS.
THE PROJECT WILL MAKE US SMARTER BECAUSE IT WILL INTRODUCE NEW WORDS AND THEIR MEANINGS TO ME.IT WILL HELP ME TO BE MORE IMAGINITIVE AND CREATIVE IN MY STORIES AND POEMS.

I think adults will listen to our research because it will also help them to help us understand and better our knowledge of poetry. Our research will allow us to make our understanding and literacy skills better. In our writing work if we can use a variety of describing words and also be able to paint a picture in the mind of the reader, this would make us better writers. This research will make us clever and smarter because we will improve our writing skills and also understand the messages in the poem.SANA RASHID,6.

I think that adults will listen to our research because it will introduce them to new poems. It will make learning more interesting because we will get the chance to write our own poems, which is fun. It will make us better writers because we will have a better understanding of the words we are using. If we understand more that will make us clever and smarter. Katie age 6

I think adults will listen to our research because they would want to read more about
Poems .I think that if the teachers listen to our research and teach some poems in class it might make the class more interested in funny poems. I think reading poems can make me a better writer because I will learn exciting words .I think by reading poems and memorising the rhyming words will make me smarter at school.

I think that adults will listen to our research beacuse they will want to know what we have discovered about poems.
Our research will make learning more interesting because we will read more poems and even if we don't like poems, we can still give it a try. I like poems because some make me laugh and they can be exciting sometimes. Some are also sad or spooky!!
It will make us better writers because we will new and exciting words that we may not have used before in our writing. It will also help us to write more interesting stories.
Learning about poems will definately make us smart and clever because we will learn more about words and language. It will help our brains to think more when we are writing and we will have a better imagination.
I love reading and writing poems!
